As the Korea-EU FTA will enter into force on July 1, Ambassador Kirk on June 9 sent a letter to Korean Trade Minister Kim asking for clarifications on the Geographic Indications (GI) provisions in the Korea-EU FTA. In his June 20 letter responding to Ambassador Kirk, Minister Kim provided clarifications on key US concerns.
