Business Roundtable Statement on U.S.-Japan Trade Agreement

Washington – Business Roundtable today released the following statement regarding the announcement of a trade agreement between the United States and Japan:
“Business Roundtable welcomes the announcement that the U.S. and Japan have come to agreement on important agricultural and industrial market openings and digital trade commitments that will benefit American workers, farmers and businesses. We urge the Administration to build on this foundation and continue negotiations toward a comprehensive high-standard trade agreement with Japan that encompasses Trade Promotion Authority negotiating objectives and boosts all sectors of the U.S. economy.”
