Ambassador Tai to Travel to Brazil and Florida

WASHINGTON – United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai will travel to Brasília, Brazil on March 7 – 9.   Afterwards, she will travel Miami, Florida.
 
During her trip to Brazil, Ambassador Tai will meet with Minister of Development, Industry and Commerce and Vice President, Dr. Geraldo Alckmin and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mauro Vieira.  Following President Lula’s meeting with President Biden in Washington, D.C. last month, Ambassador Tai will highlight the strength of the U.S.-Brazil economic and trade relationship.  She will also share how the United States and Brazil can work together on shared priorities, including fostering more trade and economic development, advancing labor rights, and addressing the climate crisis.
 
Ambassador Tai will also participate in roundtable events with representatives from Brazil’s civil society, including environmental groups and labor officials. 
 
On March 10, Ambassador Tai will participate in the 
2023 Concordia Americas Summit at the University of Miami.
