Ambassador Katherine Tai to Travel to Houston, Texas

WASHINGTON – United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai will travel to Houston, Texas on Thursday, March 16 and Friday, March 17, 2023.  Ambassador Tai will discuss how the Biden-Harris Administration’s legislative accomplishments will benefit Houston, its workers, and businesses while increasing America’s competitiveness abroad.  She will also participate in roundtable events to highlight USTR’s work to create equitable, inclusive trade policy. 

Thursday, March 16, 2023

Ambassador Tai will meet with Mayor Sylvester Turner at Houston City Hall to discuss how trade policy can help the City of Houston and its workers.  Following the meeting, Ambassador Tai and Mayor Turner will hold a press gaggle and take questions from the media.

Ambassador Tai will participate in a roundtable visit with members of Houston’s Kenya Diaspora.   Ambassador Tai will share how USTR is working to strengthen the U.S. – Kenya bilateral relationship and provide updates on the U.S. – Kenya Strategic Trade and Investment Partnership.
