WASHINGTON – United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai today met virtually with New Zealand Minister for Trade and Export Growth Damien O’Connor.
Ambassador Tai and Minister O’Connor discussed the importance of the U.S.-New Zealand trade and investment relationship. Ambassador Tai affirmed the United States’ commitment to increased international engagement, including participating in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and working with New Zealand on its APEC Host Year priorities. Ambassador Tai and Minister O’Connor also discussed collaboration to advance inclusive trade policies and address other progressive trade issues, such as climate change. They also discussed digital trade and further cooperation at the WTO. They agreed to regular engagement on key issues.
