BRUSSELS – United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai today met with Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Sigrid Kaag. During the meeting, they discussed a wide range of bilateral and multilateral trade issues, including shared global challenges. In particular, they discussed the need for and various elements of a worker-centered trade policy. Ambassador Tai outlined the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to a worker-centered trade policy and her hope that the international community will prioritize the needs of workers around the world.
Ambassador Tai and Minister Kaag also discussed the importance of the U.S.-Netherlands trade relationship and agreed to work together to tackle global issues, including the challenges posed by non-market economies.
