Beyond putting bushels on boats, this bilateral agreement reinforces our shared commitment to a mutually beneficial relationship with Bangladesh.
U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council:
- U.S.-Bangladesh Deal: The U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council is delighted to see this win for U.S. corn producers and the larger U.S. agricultural industry, clearing the path for greater market access and generating instant demand for products that will benefit both U.S. exporters as well as Bangladeshi consumers. The Council applauds the work the Trump Administration continues to do in connecting our U.S. corn producers to customers around the world.
- U.S. Guatemala Deal: The U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council is delighted to see this win for U.S. ethanol producers and the entire U.S. agricultural industry, clearing the path for greater market access and generating instant demand for biofuels that will benefit both U.S. exporters and domestic producers, as well as Guatemalan consumers. Additionally, the biotechnology chapter in this agreement is significant as it mandates science- and risk-based regulations are the standard, while also protecting the grain trade from duplicative regulations and non-tariff barriers. The Council applauds the work the Trump Administration and Trade Representative Greer continue to do in connecting our ethanol producers to customers around the world.
- U.S.-El Salvador Deal: The U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council is pleased to see the first agreement on reciprocal trade in the Western Hemisphere. U.S. corn and distiller’s dried grains with solubles exports to El Salvador are up 124 and 98 percent, respectively, in the first quarter of the 2025/2026 marketing year, and with the agreement signed today, we hope we will continue to see a rise in trade for those products and others the Council represents. Our thanks to Trade Representative Greer, the USTR and the Administration for continuing to make trade easier for the U.S. in El Salvador and around the world.
USA Rice Director of International Trade Policy Karah Janevicus: We are pleased to see that USTR worked with their counterparts to include this commitment to cooperate on fraudulent labeled rice moving forward.
National Corn Growers Association: The United States and Guatemala have signed a new Reciprocal Trade Agreement addressing trade barriers and ensuring biotech products approved in the U.S. are automatically approved in Guatemala. The agreement also commits Guatemala to an E10 ethanol blend for on-road vehicles, with plans to purchase 50 million gallons of U.S. ethanol annually, while reinforcing a key export market that purchased $275 million in U.S. corn in 2024.
National Council of Textile Organizations President and CEO Kim Glas:
- U.S.-El Salvador Deal: We sincerely thank President Trump, U.S. Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer, and the administration for finalizing this important reciprocal trade agreement. El Salvador is part of the CAFTA-DR region that forms a vital co-production chain with the American textile supply chain … Today’s action will reinforce the strength of the U.S. textile industry.
- U.S.-Guatemala Deal: The reciprocal trade agreement with Guatemala marks an important step toward strengthening the U.S. textile supply chain … NCTO and the broader U.S. textile industry are grateful to President Trump, U.S. Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer, and the administration for concluding this agreement with Guatemala, following on the heels of the recently announced agreement with El Salvador.
President and CEO of U.S. Dairy Export Council Krysta Harden: Securing durable market access and setting clear expectations with trading partners is essential for U.S. agriculture . . . We thank the Administration for fighting for the right of U.S. dairy exporters to compete fairly in the Salvadoran and Guatemalan market.
National Pork Producers Council: NPPC supports the trade deal with India, which will strengthen U.S. agricultural market access and reduce – and eventually eliminate – tariff and nontariff barriers to American goods. The agreement also will ensure India adopts science-based technical, sanitary, and phytosanitary standards.
The Meat Institute: The meat and poultry industry applauds the work of @USTradeRep and @POTUS in securing greater market access for meat exports to El Salvador.
Distilled Spirits Council President & CEO Chris Swonger: Last year’s tariff reduction on U.S. spirits imports to India was an important first step that opened new opportunities for Bourbon producers in the world’s largest whiskey market. With India now reaching agreements with the EU and the UK to significantly reduce tariffs on their spirits, we are hopeful that this new U.S.–India agreement will secure comparable tariff reductions across all categories of U.S. distilled spirits, ensuring fair and competitive access to the Indian marketplace.
Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor: We applaud Ambassador Greer and the Trump administration for working to ensure that U.S. biofuel exports remain a bright spot for trade — one that supports working-class jobs and strengthens American manufacturing. Exports of 50 million gallons to Guatemala would translate to a market for 140 million bushels of U.S. corn, and that number will only grow as more of our trading partners add more lower-cost ethanol to their fuel supplies.
Renewable Fuels Association President and CEO Geoff Cooper: We are very grateful to Ambassador Greer and the entire Trump administration for securing a trade agreement that reflects the U.S. ethanol industry’s leadership role in the global renewable fuels marketplace.
Computer and Communications Industry Association: The Computer & Communications Industry Association welcomes the announcement of the U.S.-Bangladesh Agreement on Reciprocal Trade. The Agreement contains concrete and targeted provisions on digital trade.
Senator Steve Daines: It’s critical that we strengthen the relationship between the U.S & India, and this week’s trade deal is a great step in the right direction.
Senator Pete Ricketts: President Trump today announced a trade deal with India. India is an important, strategic partner. This will further enhance the U.S.-India relationship. I’m excited India is going to import American ag products. I’m also glad to see PM Modi is reportedly ending his reliance on Russian oil. This is good for Nebraska and the entire country! I look forward to reviewing the final details.
House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain: President Trump continues to deliver HISTORIC trade deals that put hardworking Americans FIRST!
Representative Rudy Yakym: Great news! Thank you @POTUS for continuing to negotiate strong, fair, America First trade deals.
Representative Zach Nunn: Grateful for the strong U.S.-Guatemala partnership and the chance to advocate for Iowa’s farmers. This new trade deal delivers: 17 million bushels of U.S. corn heading to Guatemala for biofuels like E10 — boosting demand for Iowa agriculture, fueling American energy independence, and countering Chinese influence in our hemisphere.
Representative Randy Feenstra: Great news for Iowa farmers! Thanks to President Trump and USTR Jamieson Greer, a new trade deal with Guatemala delivers major wins for Iowa corn farmers. By expanding ethanol exports and removing trade barriers, this agreement boosts demand for Iowa corn and strengthens American agriculture.
