WASHINGTON – Last week, Ambassador Jamieson Greer traveled across Michigan and Ohio to tour manufacturing plants, ranging from a drone production facility to the world’s largest washing machine plant. While walking the factory floor, Ambassador Greer met with blue-collar workers, a labor union, and industry leaders to discuss how President Trump’s tariff program is revitalizing our industrial base, reshoring production lines, raising wages, and spurring investment in the United States.
“Manufacturing plants are the bedrock of communities across our country, fueling local economies and supporting workers and their families,” said Ambassador Greer. “President Trump is using tariffs to accelerate America’s reindustrialization by incentivizing companies and countries to invest and build on American soil. The Trump Administration will continue to eliminate trade barriers to level the playing field for American workers and businesses, boosting our global competitiveness while expanding our manufacturing footprint.”
