Ambassador Katherine Tai to Travel to Kenya, Germany, Cambodia, and Indonesia

WASHINGTON – On September 13, 2022, Ambassador Katherine Tai will lead a Presidential Delegation to Nairobi, Kenya to attend the Inauguration of His Excellency William Samoei Arap Ruto.
 
On September 14-15, 2022, Ambassador Tai will be in Neuhardenberg, Germany for the 2022 meeting of the G7 trade ministers.  During this trip, Ambassador Tai will meet with her G7 counterparts to discuss opportunities for continued multilateral cooperation on advancing fair competition for workers, addressing economic coercion, supply chain resilience and sustainability, and WTO reform.
 
On September 17-18, 2022, Ambassador Tai will be in Siem Reap, Cambodia for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Economic Ministers (AEM)-USTR Consultations.  This trip will build on the historic investments in U.S.-Southeast Asia relations that President Biden announced during the U.S.-ASEAN Special Summit in May 2022.   In Siem Reap, Ambassador Tai will also meet with stakeholders, including private sector companies, and discuss how the United States’ trade agenda can support and enhance investment throughout the region.
 
On September 21-23, 2022, Ambassador Tai will be in Bali, Indonesia for the G20 Trade, Investment and Industry Ministerial Meeting.  Ambassador Tai will meet with her G20 counterparts and discuss how the world’s leading economies can create sustainable, inclusive economic growth for all people.
