The Pacific Islands

WASHINGTON – On September 28, 2022, Deputy United States Trade Representative Sarah Bianchi met with leaders from the Pacific Islands to discuss ways to enhance trade and economic engagement with the region.

USTR's Office of Southeast Asia and Pacific Affairs seeks to enhance bilateral trade and investment relations with the countries of Southeast Asia, as well as Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.

The office also works to advance relations regionally through initiatives aimed at regional economic integration, such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP) and our Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
