NEW DELHI – United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai today met with India’s Minister of External Affairs, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. Ambassador Tai and Minister Jaishankar reflected on the progress that the United States and India made earlier in the day during the 14th Ministerial-level meeting of the Trade Policy Forum. Both ministers agreed that this forum has created a significant amount of momentum to further strengthen the U.S.-India economic and trade relationship.
Ambassador Tai and Minister Jaishankar also discussed their shared desire to work constructively together to ensure a successful 13th World Trade Organization Ministerial Conference in Abu Dhabi next month. They also expressed their mutual interest in working together to enhance supply chain resilience to withstand future global economic shocks.
The ministers agreed to continue working closely together as both countries look to enhance their growing strategic and economic bilateral relationship.
