United States to Participate in Second Indo-Pacific Economic Framework Negotiating Round in Indonesia

WASHINGTON – The Office of the United States Trade Representative and the Department of Commerce today announced that a U.S. delegation will travel to Bali, Indonesia for the second negotiating round of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) from March 13-19, 2023. 
 
The interagency U.S. delegation will be led by Sarah Ellerman, IPEF Pillar I Chief Negotiator and Assistant United States Trade Representative for Southeast Asia and the Pacific (Acting), and Sharon H. Yuan, Department of Commerce Counselor and Chief Negotiator for Pillars II-IV.
 
The first negotiating round was held in December 2022 in Brisbane, Australia. More information on the Brisbane negotiating round can be found here.
 
A special negotiating round on Pillars II-IV also was held earlier this month in New Delhi, India.  More information can be found here.
 
Additional details regarding the Indonesia negotiating round will be provided at a later date.
