USTR Releases Fiscal Year 2022-2026 Strategic Plan

March 01, 2022

WASHINGTON – The Office of the United States Trade Representative today released its Fiscal Year 2022-2026 Strategic Plan.

Developed in accordance with the USTR’s obligations under the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) Modernization Act of 2010, the Strategic Plan provides the public with the agency’s overarching mission and priorities. USTR updates and releases its Strategic Plan every four years.

“USTR’s Strategic Plan continues the Biden-Harris Administration’s unprecedented commitment towards advancing equity for historically overlooked and marginalized communities through our trade agenda,” Ambassador Katherine Tai said. “As we implement this plan, we will work with Congress and key stakeholders to promote inclusive and durable trade policies that benefit all workers and communities. I look forward to continuing this work and am eager to make this Strategic Plan a reality.”

In updating its Fiscal Year 2022-2026 Strategic Plan, USTR incorporated the principles of Executive Orders, federal strategies, and presidential memoranda released during the Biden-Harris Administration, including: Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government (EO 13985); Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility in the Federal Workforce (EO 14035); Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation (EO 13988); the National Security Memorandum on Revitalizing America’s Foreign Policy and National Security Workforce, Institutions, and Partnerships; the National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality; Tribal Consultation and Strengthening the Nation-to-National Relationship; and Advancing the Human Rights of LGBTQI+ Persons around the World.
