WASHINGTON – United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai today met with Bahrain’s Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Zayed Al-Zayani. Ambassador Tai and Minister Al-Zayani discussed opportunities to strengthen the U.S.-Bahrain trade and investment relationship.
Ambassador Tai outlined her desire to work together to address labor-related issues in Bahrain by completing the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) Labor Chapter Consultations. They also discussed global steel and aluminum excess capacity.
Ambassador Tai and Minister Al-Zayani pledged to continue working together on these important issues and other shared priorities.
