WASHINGTON – United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai today met virtually with Sophie Wilmès, the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Tai reaffirmed her commitment to the transatlantic relationship and to working closely with Belgium on WTO reform. They agreed to collaborate on other shared goals, including reducing excess steel and aluminum capacity, addressing forced labor, resolving the Large Civil Aircraft dispute between the U.S. and EU, and increasing the global vaccine supply.
Ambassador Tai and Deputy Prime Minister Wilmès agreed to maintain regular communication.
