Ambassador Froman Travels to Singapore for Trans-Pacific Partnership Ministerial Meetings

February 20, 2014

Washington, D.C. – Today Ambassador Froman will travel to Singapore for Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) ministerial meetings.  These meetings follow ministerial negotiating sessions held in Singapore during December of last year, where important advances were made and potential “landing zones” were identified for the majority of key outstanding issues in the text.

“We expect to make meaningful progress in Singapore this month,” said Ambassador Froman.  “Negotiators have been working hard and ministers have been engaging on outstanding issues since their productive meetings in December.”

Press availabilities are to be announced. Please contact Trevor Kincaid (tkincaid@ustr.eop.gov) and Carol Guthrie (cguthrie@ustr.eop.gov) with interview requests and general inquiries.
