Readout of United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai’s Meeting with Bahrain’s Minister of Industry and Commerce Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro

WASHINGTON – United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai met Monday with Bahrain’s Minister of Industry and Commerce Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro. Ambassador Tai and Minister Fakhro reaffirmed the importance of the U.S.-Bahrain relationship and discussed priority issues for the upcoming Joint Committee meeting under the U.S.-Bahrain Free Trade Committee, including ongoing labor consultations and global non-market excess capacity in the steel and aluminum sectors.
