Media Registration for IPEF Ministerial Meeting in Detroit Opens
Media registration for the upcoming ministerial meeting, to be hosted in Detroit, Michigan, is now open.
United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai and Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo will host ministers from the 14 IPEF economies on May 27 for a ministerial meeting.
Ahead of this meeting, the United States will participate in the third IPEF negotiating round in Singapore on May 8-15, 2023.
Registration procedures:
The IPEF Detroit ministerial will include:
- Morning ministerial sessions for each of the four IPEF pillars: These events will be open press and include a photo spray for the chair’s opening comments only.
- Approximately 12:30 PM CT: A press conference with Ambassador Tai and Secretary Raimondo. This will include a lives tream.
Media interested in covering Ministerial open press events should submit credential requests here by 6:00 PM ET on Thursday, May 18, 2023. Approved media registrants will receive additional details via email.
Access to the ministerial press filing center, and specified events will only be available to accredited media representatives. Due to space limitations, coverage of specific ministerial remarks may be pooled; accreditation permits access to the filing center, but does not guarantee inclusion within the pool.
Media Center:
A media center will be established for accredited media at the DoubleTree Fort Shelby on Saturday, May 27. Limited unreserved workspace and complimentary Wi-Fi internet will be provided.
