JAIPUR - United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai today met with European Commission Executive Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis on the margins of the G20 Trade and Investment Ministers’ Meeting.
Ambassador Tai and Executive Vice President Dombrovskis reviewed U.S.-EU negotiations toward a global arrangement on sustainable steel and aluminum and toward a U.S-EU Critical Minerals Agreement. Ambassador Tai affirmed her goal of reaching outcomes aligned with the strong commitment to U.S.-EU strategic partnership advanced by President Biden and President von der Leyen.
Ambassador Tai and Executive Vice President Dombrovskis agreed to remain in close contact and tasked their teams with an intensified pace of meetings on these initiatives.
