BANGKOK – United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai today met with Papua New Guinea Minister for International Trade and Investment, Richard Maru on the margins of the APEC Ministerial Meeting and discussed their shared commitment to strengthening the U.S. – Papua New Guinea trade and investment relationship. Ambassador Tai also highlighted the establishment of the Pacific Islands Trade and Investment Dialogue, which aims to increase trade flows, address barriers, and target economic, investment, and market access needs between the United States and the Pacific Islands.
Ambassador Tai and Minister Maru said their teams will stay in touch in the months ahead.
