On January 28 through February 1, Ambassador Marantis will be in Lima, Peru and Santiago, Chile, where he will meet with senior government officials in both countries to discuss ongoing Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations and certain other trade issues.

Ambassador Siddiqui will meet with Ambassador of Bangladesh to the United States Akramul Qader and representatives of the U.S. cotton industry at the Embassy of Bangladesh to discuss issues involving U.S. cotton exports.

On January 29 through 31, Ambassador Punke will represent the United States at a meeting of the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) General Council in Geneva, Switzerland, where candidates for WTO Director-General will present their views and respond to questions from WTO Members.
