  • USTR Ron Kirk Arrives in Singapore for APEC

    • United States Trade Representative Ron Kirk Arrives in Singapore for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum’s (APEC) Ministers Responsible for Trade Meeting

    Singapore - United States Trade Representative Ron Kirk arrived today in Singapore for the 2009 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum's (APEC) Ministers Responsible for Trade Meeting from July 21 to 22.  While in Singapore, Ambassador Kirk is attending various sessions and bilateral meetings with APEC Ministers to discuss ways of advancing APEC's initiatives and agenda.

    On Wednesday, July 22nd, Ambassador Kirk will attend the APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade (MRT) Media Conference.  Directly after the media conference, he will then hold a separate availability with members of the media.  Immediately following the media availability, Ambassador Kirk will join his fellow APEC Ministers at the APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade Business Lunch.  Ambassador Kirk will be one of three ministers highlighted at the lunch, along with his counterparts from Singapore and Indonesia.
