Christopher S. Wilson
Assistant U. S. Trade Representative for Europe & the Middle East

Christopher Wilson is Assistant United States Trade Representative in the Office of Europe and the Middle East at the Office of the United States Trade Representative. In this position, he manages U.S. trade policy relations with the European Union and other European trading partners, and countries in North Africa and the Middle East. Since joining USTR in 2000, Christopher Wilson has also worked on intellectual property rights trade policy, issues related to Central America and the Caribbean, and he spent four years representing USTR at the United States Mission to the European Union in Brussels. In the latter position, he helped coordinate the extensive trade policy relationship between the United States and the European Union. Christopher Wilson spent five years as a private consultant on trade policy issues from 1995-2000. He served as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer with the Department of State from 1987-1995, with assignments in Africa and Southeast Asia. He also worked at the Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration in the mid-1980’s, where he focused on trade policy relations with Mexico. Christopher Wilson holds a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
