The African Growth and Opportunity Act/Trade and Development Act
of 2000 authorizes a new U.S. trade and investment policy toward Africa. It promotes
increased trade and economic cooperation between the United States and eligible sub-Saharan African
countries. This legislation represents a solid, meaningful and significant opportunity, which could result in
