The NAFTA at 8 Report was released in May 2002 summarizes accomplishments in the eight years of the agreement's lifespan. Despite the worldwide economic slowdown in 2001 and the terrorist attacks of September 11, the report shows postive findings. The attached statment from the NAFTA Free Trade Commission shows the optimism that the United States, Canada and Mexico have for the agreement as it progresses forward.
