WASHINGTON – United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai today met with Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
Ambassador Tai and Prime Minister Chinh discussed President Biden’s historic state visit to Hanoi on earlier this month and the new U.S.-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Ambassador Tai and Prime Minister Chinh welcomed the progress made to date on the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) to advance sustainable, resilient, and inclusive economic growth throughout the region and in the United States. Ambassador Tai further underscored the importance of IPEF partners making progress towards high-standard outcomes in order to deliver meaningful benefits for workers, consumers, businesses, and economies across the region.
