USTR’s Office of Labor Affairs works with the Department of Labor’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), the Department of State, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the International Labor Organization (ILO) to help aid our trading partners around the world to improve in their efforts to comply with international labor standards. Each FTA labor chapter contains an annex establishing a labor cooperation mechanism.
