President George W. Bush has proposed a fiscal year 2002 budget of $30.1 million for the Office of the United States Trade Representative. This represents a 2 percent increase from fiscal year 2001.

The budget request provides for 203 full time equivalent (FTE) staff for the agency. This includes the continued hiring of 25 new enforcement and negotiator professionals.
