Julie Greene

Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Public Engagement

Julie Greene is the Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Public Engagement.  Ms. Greene previously served as Political & Mobilization Director for the AFL-CIO.  In addition to running Labor’s largest political program, she worked with affiliated leaders and staff to develop, execute, and align mobilization and outreach programs across multiple campaigns, organizing drives and legislative campaigns. 

Prior to her appointment as Mobilization Director, Ms. Greene held several senior positions at the Democratic National Committee including as Director of the Office of the Secretary and as Director of the Office of DNC leadership, where she worked closely with the Committee’s national officers. Earlier in her career, Ms. Greene worked for several grassroots organizations at the state, local and national level. She has been recognized as one of Campaigns & Elections “Rising Stars” and received the Women’s Information Network’s “Young Woman of Achievement” award in the of Labor and Community Organizing category. Ms. Greene is a native of Cleveland, OH and graduate of the American University where she holds a B.A. In Communications, Law, Economics & Government.
