Ambassador Tai to Travel to France and Latvia

WASHINGTON – United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai will travel to Paris, France and Riga, Latvia from June 7-9. Throughout her travel, she will meet with senior government officials and stakeholders on shared economic and trade priorities.
 
On June 7-8, Ambassador Tai will be in Paris, France to attend the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Ministerial Council Meeting. Ambassador Tai will participate in OECD ministerial meetings related to advancing economic resilience and sustainability in trade. Ambassador Tai will also meet with her counterparts on the margins of the ministerial council meeting.
 
On June 9, Ambassador Tai will be in Riga, Latvia.  She will meet with Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš and President-elect and Minister of Foreign Affairs Edgars Rinkēvičs, as well as participate in stakeholder events and discuss opportunities to strengthen the U.S.-Latvian trade and investment relationship in addition to our collaborative efforts to support Ukraine.  Ambassador Tai and President-elect Rinkēvičs will participate in a joint press conference, which will be livestreamed through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
